Putting The Camp Into BarCamp

Okay, historically the LA contingent hasn’t been much for camping out at BarCamp. In fact, I don’t think anyone ended up sleeping over the first night. Last time, I know a few folks ended up crashing out in either their own sleeping bags or on one of the few couches around Little Radio. That was actually pretty cool, because when I rolled in on Sunday morning I was greeted by a few bed headed folks sitting around on their laptops, ready to start the day. Sure they hadn’t grabbed a shower, but their enthusiasm was infectious.

In fact, it was infectious enough to make me want to camp out this time. So I hit up my local Target and bought a sleeping bag and an air mattress — because while some of you might be able to get away with crashing on the floor, I need something moderately soft under me. Anyhow, it would seriously be awesome if I weren’t the only one doing this. So in the interest of not being the only one sleeping at Little Radio on Saturday night, I just wanted to give y’all a gentle reminder to bring along a sleeping bag to join in the fun. A pillow, toothbrush and change of clothes would probably be nice too — but that’s your choice…

Hope to see everyone on Saturday and Sunday!

P.S. If you haven’t signed up on the wiki yet, what the hell is wrong with you?!
P.P.S. I’m just kidding. We’ll love you even if you show up unannounced… ;)

  2. sleeping bag will be in tow, we’ll see how it goes.

Nobody’s gonna do the hand-in-warm-water trick, are they?

    +1 for ouija boards, though!
