We don’t like to choose either, so we’re bumping BarCampLA 4 back a month so we can ALL go enjoy the awesome stuff going on that weekend with our buddies in SF and our friends right here in LA.
We’re still anxious to see you all. It’s been an amazing summer for conferences and we’ve got an amazing new crop of tech/geek centric groups and events in LA such as the Facebook Developer’s Garage, CommunityBuilders and Twiistup, as well as the upcoming MobileCampLA and Launch a Start-up in 3 Days.
For more info on those events — and any others that manage to come up — check out the wiki. We try to keep it as up-to-date as possible so y’all know what is going on.
Crystal & Jason.
P.S. Don’t forget to RSVP for this month’s Geek Dinner. Also, Wired’s NextFest is going on this weekend. Maybe we’ll see some of you there…
I have been a bad dad to the blog. But since I always hate those apologetic “sorry I haven’t blogged in so long” posts, I’ll spare you from having to read one (and me from having to write one).
That was easy, wasn’t it?
Anyhow, things have been ramping up on BarCampLA 4 planning. There is some extremely exciting stuff we have in the works — but right now I’m nudging all of your feed readers (or casually browsing eyeballs) to let you know that we’re looking for some motivated people to help us get this off the ground. We’re going to need folks to help out with everything from planning and promotion to implementation. So if you have a little time to donate, feel free to sign up on the wiki under the list of volunteers.
Okay, I think that’s it for now… Hopefully we’ll have some more news for you really soon!
Hey all, yeah, it’s super last minute, but we’re relying on those RSS readers out there to make sure all of you know that we’ll be at uWink in Woodland Hills tonight at 8pm.

Powerpoint Karaoke – The Revenge
Yup, if geeks, games,
and gin weren’t enough to get you to make the drive, we’re bringing back Powerpoint Karaoke, this time, in public for added hilarity. So bring your favorite (Creative Commons only – please) PPT (or Keynote, you dirty mac-using hippies) presentations on a thumb drive so we can all enjoy.
